I do my little part to save the planet
We all know the new catch phrase : «Think globally and act locally». International conferences on the environment sensitize us to the great environmental challenges, but it is the small, everyday things we do that will affect the overall picture.
For the past 50 years, your Association has been working diligently for the protection of the environment in our little corner of the world. Next summer, go sightseeing around the lake and you will see the numerous changes.
The respect for the environment by new construction, the afforestation of the shores, the revegetation of the shore line will surprise you. Add to this, the installation of new septic tanks by the majority of property owners and you will have a good idea of the distance already covered.

In your name, our Association follows important issues : ecologic management of public and private forests, access and navigation on the lake, real estate development in the surrounding mountains.
To get there, we need your support. We do a lot with little but we need a minimum to have the means to reach our goals. We count on the support that you will give us by first becoming a member of the APELA and second, if you can, by spending a little time and energy on the important issues that we are following.
The success of the 2010 recruitment campaign is now in your hands.
Please remember that the annual fee covers the period of january 1st to december 31st, 2010. We suggest that you sign up as soon as possible. This will enable us to send you the January 2010 issue of the local newspaper ALTITUDE.
